Week One
In the first few days of our new topic, the children have looked at the different types of land use in the UK, what allotments are and what is their purpose. The children looked at 3 proposals for sites for a new allotment and had to read information and give scores for each site to determine which site would be best suited.
The children have also looked at allotment habitats and the food webs they they create. They have also started to look at life cycles of animals and amphibians.
In RE, the children have stared to learn about the Hindu pilgrimage of Kumbh Mela. They made jugs to hold an ‘elixir’ that had special powers.
