Sparkle & Shine
During this project children will learn about the celebrations that take place during the Autumn and Winter seasons, and focus on the significance and symbolism of light at this time of year. They will take part in a variety of creative activities and discover more about how Christmas, Diwali and Hanukkah are celebrated around the world.
Ideas of how to support your child at home during this project:
- Talk about special events that you celebrate at home.
- Share photos of events that you celebrate.
- Talk about how you prepare for special celebrations including the clothes you wear, food you prepare and gifts you give or receive.

Week 6
This week we started our Companion Project: Sparkle & Shine. We have had lots of discussions about different celebrations that we enjoy, even sharing photos of own celebrations including; Christmas, Christenings and Weddings and telling each other how we celebrated them. We made a giant poster showing all of our celebrations and adding some labels using our phonics!
