As our behaviour reinforcement strategy, we use Class Dojos and children are awarded for each of the Gipsey Bridge Academy 5 Rs which are Relationships, Resilience, Reflecting, Risk-Taking and Resourcefulness alongside Reading and Homework.

The children who are in the top three in each class for the number of dojos received each week are awarded a Top Dojo Certificate in our Celebration Assembly.

The dojos then accumulate throughout the year and the following are awarded with a Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Ruby Certificate and a metal star badge which is worn with pride on their uniform:

Bronze Award:                    50 Dojo Points

Silver Award:                     150 Dojo Points

Gold Award:                       300 Dojo Points

Platinum Award:                   500 Dojo Points

Ruby Award:                      750 Dojo Points

The children see their dojo points being awarded throughout each day as the Points are on an interactive screen, and any member of staff, including Midday Supervisors, award points, and the children know immediately this has been given. 

At Gipsey Bridge Academy, we also award a certificate to one child from each year group recognising our Trust Family Values which are Unity, Love, Curiosity, Hope &  Integrity. Each term we focus on one of the values and children are delighted when they receive this special award.
