Week 5
This week in writing, the children have started to look at speeches. They are using our class reader - The Last Bear - as a stimulus. They are looking at the environmental issues that have come up in the book so far as well as other issues that we have talked about in Frozen Kingdoms and previous topics. The children will be writing and recording their own speech about an environmental issue of their choice.
In art, the children have been continuing with their companion project of Inuit Art. This week they created their own piece of art based on the Inuit piece titled 'The Enchanted Owl'. The children chose their favourite piece and made it into a stencil. They then painted the design in their own colour combinations.
