Poetry with rhyming couplets
Class 2 have created their own pieces of poetry following a rhyming couplets structure. They first had a look at what features they could find within an example poem to guide their own. They then worked in groups to create a list of objects that the Romans created or inventions they had. The hard work then started to make a list of rhyming words that could be included within their poem. Following this, they then drafted their ideas: adding in alliteration, repetition and description to entertain the reader.
