Super proud of our whole school community today as we came together to 'Go Red in Feb' to raise money for the BHF and Heartlink (a charity close to our hearts). Non-uniform, donations and cakes all went down a treat!
A real delight to see our children making Christmas cards for all the RAFMS and PMs on active service over the festive period.
Delighted to have Rev Ann Lett from the Boston Methodist Circuit in school to help us celebrate our harvest festival with our whole school community. All the wonderful donations of produce will be taken to the Centrepoint Outreach charity in Boston.
On behalf of the PTFA we would just like to say a big thank you for all of your contributions. Not only have we raised an amount of £60 for the PTFA fund but in the process of doing so we have saved 1.6 tonnes of carbon emissions. Thank you to everyone for your support.
Class 3 had a visit from an author! Fantastic virtual session with Tom Palmer. Great questions from our children and a real privilege to talk to an actual author! A great experience for everyone; which we even shared with two other schools in our Trust.
Fabulous afternoon for our Invasion quiz! Absolutely blown away by the amount of facts, vocabulary and knowledge retained by the children. Well done to all the Y3/4 children.
What an incredible response to our appeal for products for Ukraine. Gipsey Bridge community you're wonderful! Thank you to The Little Kitchen, Boston, for transporting to Poland for onward distribution to refugees. The children loved dressing in Ukrainian colours.
The inaugural Infinity Academy (Spilsby Primary, Gipsey Bridge and Boston St Nicholas) end of project quiz was an absolute hit! All questions were an ideal opportunity to retrieve knowledge, apply understanding & demonstrate skills. A lovely community feel across our Infinity family too.
A pleasure to meet Mel today from the British Heart Foundation and present a cheque for £145 which Class 3 raised through their project and enterprise work! Delighted to see real life learning which has a lasting impact!
What a fantastic morning with #Pudsey . He was very keen to use the gym equipment and help the teachers. He joined in with an art lesson, PE lesson, prepared resources and even marked some assessment papers. Massive thanks to Asda Community Champions for arranging the visit- we have loved having you with us
Willough Bee had a wonderful time at Gipsey Bridge over lunch today. There was great excitement when he buzzed in to deliver a birthday cake for a pupil on her special day. All the children loved meeting him!
Wonderful to have our whole school community showing their respect this morning as we all stood together for 2 minutes silence.
Great harvest festival today! So many wonderful donations that we can share with the local food bank. Many thanks to the parents and to Rev Val for sharing a harvest story and prayer with us. Each class performed their ensemble beautifully too. Well done everyone ☺
An absolutely amazing turnout from our school community for Macmillan Cancer Research and our coffee afternoon. Massive thanks to everyone who baked, iced and decorated all their delicious treats! Great to have everyone together for an amazing charity.
Mrs Smart picked Marcus the Macmillan Monkey up today so the children/parents can try and guess his birthday. Hoping to raise some money on Friday afternoon whilst eating cake and drinking tea/coffee for Macmillan Cancer.
Lovely message from Macmillan Caner Support for our fundraising efforts.
Extremely proud of everyone today. We stood outside as a school (socially distanced) and showed our respect and stood in silence for 2 minutes.
Children of all ages from Gipsey Bridge Academy prepared for Remembrance. Parents, carers, staff and the community have been extremely generous in supporting the 2020 Poppy Appeal.
