Week 12
Science
In Science, this week, we have been looking at food chains. We built on our previous learning about woodland animals and thought about what they ate in order to obtain energy.
We learnt about how the energy starts from a plant (producer) that produces its own energy and then passed along the chain to a creature that eats plants (herbivore) then onto a creature that eats meat (carnivore). We all understood that the different creatures need to find their food for energy in order to survive.

Today, we had a slow release of this wonderful book:
We were absolutely enthralled with the wonderful illustrations and we were so enthusiastic when choosing a dragon to produce adjectives and expanded noun phrases to describe it.
We were so inspired by this book, we even created our own dragons.
