We started the term by looking at persuasive leaflets in English. The children looked at features of them and what a good one should include. They then thought of something that they are interested in and wrote persuasive paragraphs as to why someone should do their activity or buy their product. Next week, they will be writing a persuasive leaflet about Fair Trade.
In geography, the children did a mini project about becoming market gardeners. They had to find a site for their business, decide what to grow and how it would be transported once they were ready to sell it. The children then did a video pitch to promote their business.
