This week in our writing lessons, we have continued to study our poem 'The Sound Collector' by Roger McGough. We have been exploring the vocabulary and grammatical features within the poem and the poetic techniques used to help us plan our own sound poem.
In history we have learned about Norman Invasion. We were introduced the enquiry question, ‘What were the causes and effects of the Norman invasion and the Battle of Hastings in 1066?’. We listened to the Norman invasion podcast and followed this on transcripts. We then worked in groups to answer the Norman invasion recording sheet to identify the causes and effects.
