This week, the children continued with their newspaper reports and moved on to writing one about the 'Amistad Mutiny' where 53 slaves revolted against the crew of the ship that was transporting them to work on a plantation in Cuba.
In history, the children looked at what life might have been like to have worked on a Caribbean plantation. They looked at the conditions that they would have worked in, the work they would have had to do and what happened if the workers refused to work.
