This week in writing, the children have been continuing with writing their speeches about an environmental issue. They have looked at using parenthesis and relative clauses to enhance their speeches.
Once the children have written their speech, they will then perform and record it.
In our Frozen Kingdom topic, the children have looked at some the history of the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
The children looked at Polar discovery and some of the people who tried to get to the South Pole. They looked at Robert Falcon Scott's attempt to reach the South Pole and problems that he and his crew encountered along the way. They also learnt about Ernest Shackleton and his attempt to reach the South Pole and the decisions that he had to take along the way.
In RE, the children finished off the Buddhism topic of Paranirvana and talked about what they would like to be remembered for.
In PSHE, the children are learning about keeping safe. This week, they talked about Vaping and discussed if it was healthy or unhealthy.
