Welcome to Gipsey Bridge Academy part of the Infinity Academies Trust
Gipsey Bridge Academy strives to offer a personalised approach to learning that involves pupils, parents and staff working together to ensure children achieve their potential. The school maintains its traditional small school values and family ethos whilst being forward thinking in its conversion to academy status, its development of a regional trust of schools aimed at sharing best practice, embracing new technology and its ambitions to become the focal point of the surrounding community.
In 2009 Ofsted said;
"This is a school that is at the heart of the community it serves and where all staff willingly go the extra mile to support pupils and their parents and carers. As a result pupils achieve well in their academic development and outstandingly in their personal development."
And in 2013 Ofsted's interim assessment said;
"I am pleased to inform you that our interim assessment indicates performance has been sustained and we can defer the school's next inspection."
And in October 2014 Ofsted stated that:
"Leaders have a very accurate view of the school's strengths and areas for improvement. They use this information well to ensure that teaching and pupils' progress are continually improving."
"The early years work is outstanding. Children in the Recepion class learn extremely well."
"Some aspects of teaching are very strong, such as the teaching of phonics and marking in English and Mathematics."
"Pupils behave well, are enthusiatic about learning and are proud of their academy. They are respectful to adults and each other as they move around the academy and play outside."
