On Monday morning, we were visited by local golf professional Sophie Hunter. Sophie spoke to us about how she got into golf, how she qualified to become a professional golfer and her life in golf.
She told us about the countries that she has visited during her career and how long she was away from friends and family at certain times.
Sophie explained what is needed to make it a professional golfer and how important a sponsor is to get you started on the journey.
After her presentation, Sophie played some putting games in the hall with the children with the emphasis on fun and team work.
It was really interesting hearing from a professional sports person and getting an insight in to what life is like for them.
