Our new project this term is call 'School Days'. During the project we be learning all about what it was like to be educated in the Victorian era and we will learn about the differences between schooling in the Victorian era and schooling today. We will spent time investigating objects found in a Victorian classroom and how they were used. We are also going to be stepping back in time to research Samuel Wilderspin, an important figure in the development of schooling for young children in the Victorian era, whose ideals are reflected in schooling today. All of this learning and research will enable us to be able to answer our Big Question this term:
How was life in the Victorian era different to now?
