STAY and PLAY

STAY and PLAY 13th April - Sharing crafts with Reception and Class 1

Thank you so much to everyone who came and joined in with our first joint STAY and PLAY with Class 1. There were foil fish, dolly peg mermaids or pirates and lots of printing. We can't wait to share all of these fabulous creations with you along with all of our other Art projects this term at our WOW event on the last day of term.

STAY and PLAY 22nd April

Sharing phonics and games games and activities to support our learning.

Spring term 2

STAY and PLAY is taking a break this term to give us extra time to prepare for our WOW event show at the end of term.

Miss Munden

Stay and Play is here to stay! Thank you for all of the positive feedback last term.

There are sessions planned this term. Please take a look at the letter at the bottom of this page for more information.

Friday 5th February

Another busy Stay and Play in reception this week with the children and grown ups preparing for our Chinese New Year celebrations on Wednesday next week. We can't wait for Spilsby to join us!

Friday 22nd January  - Phonics

Thank you, as always, for making this special for the children. Our Phonics Stay and play focused on the games, sounds and skills that we are learning in Phonics at the moment. We enjoyed teaching our grown ups how to say the sounds carefully, read tricky words in Bingo and race around as cars in Tricky word Beep Beep! We finished the session with the children's choice, laptop and ipad time, playing our favourite phonics games.

Our next session is a creative session on Friday 5th February from 2.30 - 3.00pm. We hope to see you then!

Friday 4th December - Festive fun!

Another successful STAY and PLAY! Thank you again to everyone who came. The children enjoyed planting magic candy cane seeds, painting the sleigh for our Christmas set, making and eating elf doughnuts and wrapping boxes for the children's ward at Pilgrim hospital.

After this final session we sent home feedback forms to gather your feelings about the STAY and PLAY this term. As you know these sessions were done as a trial and we would really appreciated your feedback to make sure that they are the best and most useful they can be for you and your child.

Friday 27th November

Friday 20th November - Jolly Postman crafts

The children were really excited to share craft activities with their grown ups today. Thank you to everyone that came and helped to create new things for our classroom.

We painted a beanstalk, created houses for the forest, made birds, a sunshine and coloured sweets to stick on the gingerbread house.
