Spring Term - Saddle up and ride out west

We have recently had a group of children in the class playing 'cowboys.' We also have a large group of children who enjoy horse riding and who have their own horses. This has led to our new topic - Saddle up and ride out west! We are all VERY excited about this. See you in January! Yeehaw! frown

Last week, the children received a letter from Chief White Owl. He left us a tepee and we had to weave it with bamboo to make it strong. A second letter then appeared asking us to make it waterproof. The children did lots of investigating to find out which materials would be the most suitable for the job. The children are busy putting the finishing touches on the tepee now. PICTURES TO FOLLOW SOON. frown

Today we started making our Native American dream catchers. We needed to thread and weave very carefully. We workin in pairs so that we could help each other if we needed a hand.
