Class one WOW event
As part of our extreme survivors topic this term the children took part in an 'extreme survival day experience'. We had a visit from Mr Westaway, who taught us all we needed to know about survival in the rainforest. As part of the day the children got to work in teams to build their own rainforest survival shelters.
The next day the children were extremely excited to invite their grown ups to come and look at their fantastic shelters and all their hard work over the term. The children really enjoyed showing off and I think their grown ups were very proud. Myself and Mrs Smart definitely were.
During PE this term the children have been learning all about invasion games. Here are some pictures of them enjoying learning about the skills needed to play tag rugby.
Come and take a look at the fantastic models, paintings and drawings the children in class one have created over the summer holidays! They look fantastic in our classroom rainforest and desert
Look up, look down, look all around!
Come and take a look at our fantastic learning environment!
We have been busy learning about the different layers of the rainforest. Here are some pictures of the children creating a collage of the different layers to go in our classroom rainforest.
This week in maths the children have been working really hard to learn how to measure accurately.
