Tuesday 9th February
Today we had a visit from the police to introduce some booklets which will keep us and our families safe. We talked about staying safe in a fire, who to call in an emergency, what constitutes anti-social behaviour and who we can talk to if we think we are in danger or are being bullied.
The booklets are for the children to take home for future reference.
Today, Mr. Reeves from Lincolnshire County Council came into KS2 to talk to the children about bullying. We talked about what the term bullying means, listed actions which are not bullying, and justified our views on a range of scenarios, giving reasons o explain whether or not we considered them to be evidence of bullying. We learnt that bullying is hurting or upsetting someone else
We also thought about the different ways people can be bullied and the reasons somebody might bully another person.
The children came up with some very sensible suggestions, and justified their views in a really mature way. A very interesting and useful session for us all.
